Essential machinery for shoe packaging! Anti-mildew spray boxes: YUTAI solves the problem of mildew and enables production capacity upgrades

In the footwear industry, mildew prevention in packaging remains a persistent challenge. Whether due to the moisture-absorbing properties of leather shoes or the breathable material of canvas shoes, temperature and humidity fluctuations during storage and shipping increase the risk of mildew, leading to a series of problems for shoe companies, including returns and losses, and damage to brand reputation. Our company's new packaging anti-mildew spray tank, launched in 2024, is a must-have for the industry, providing a one-stop solution for tens of millions of shoe companies and revolutionizing the inefficient and high-risk packaging process.

Traditional shoe companies rely on manual spraying of anti-mildew agents for their anti-mildew treatments. This method not only struggles to ensure uniformity—spraying often leaks into critical areas like the upper and sole seams, leading to mold growth risks—but also requires significant labor costs. A single production line often requires 4-6 workers working in shifts, and the cost of manual anti-mildew treatment for a single pair of shoes can be as high as 0.7-0.9 yuan. Furthermore, manual operation is inefficient, with only 200-300 pairs of shoes processed per hour, creating a bottleneck that hinders production capacity expansion.

In late 2024, addressing industry pain points, the specialized equipment R&D team initiated development of a mold inhibitor spray box. During the development process, the team prioritized "adaptability to all shoe types, efficiency, and precision." Using ultrasonic atomization technology, the mold inhibitor is converted into fine particles of 25-30μm, ensuring comprehensive coverage of every detail, including easily overlooked areas like lace holes and heel crevices. Furthermore, the equipment is equipped with an intelligent PLC control system that automatically adjusts the spray dosage and nozzle angle based on different shoe types (such as sneakers, leather shoes, and boots), precisely controlling the optimal amount of mold inhibitor applied to each pair of shoes. This minimizes waste and prevents mold inhibitor failure due to insufficient dosage.

The system took just three months from development to implementation. During this time, the R&D team collaborated with several shoe companies to conduct 15 rounds of field testing. To address the high humidity of the rainy season, a temperature and humidity sensor was added to automatically increase the spray frequency when humidity exceeds 65%. To address the potential for spray residue on light-colored shoes, the atomization pressure was optimized to 2.2 kg, and a closed return air system was added to effectively eliminate this residue problem. After repeated commissioning and acceptance testing, the equipment ultimately achieved a 100% mold elimination rate. Furthermore, a 40-day accelerated aging test confirmed that treated shoes remained mold-free even in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.

This anti-mildew spray box has now entered mass production and has quickly garnered widespread acclaim from shoe manufacturers. A representative from a medium-sized shoe manufacturer commented, "After installing the equipment, the original six-person anti-mildew team was eliminated, labor costs dropped to 0.12 yuan per pair of shoes, and efficiency increased by more than three times. Daily production capacity has increased by 1,500 pairs, and there have been zero mold-related returns from exported products for six consecutive months." Several other small shoe manufacturers commented that the equipment's ease of operation and low maintenance have completely resolved their dilemma of wanting to control costs while fearing anti-mildew failure.

For shoe companies, antifungal spray tanks in packaging are no longer just optional equipment; they're essential tools for ensuring product quality, reducing costs, and increasing production capacity. Regardless of company size or shoe type, these tanks perfectly meet packaging needs, becoming a crucial factor in helping shoe companies maintain their footing in the fiercely competitive market.
